    Guide to Task Group Creation

This is a basic guide to how I think we may want to proceed with task group creation here.

For starters you will want to make a post here in this thread with a task group name in the subject line that references the task at hand.

    Task Group Name: "Magic Effects"

It should also contain the task in specific at hand.

    Task: "(Weapons Task 2)"

So the subject line for this task group should look something like this:

    "Magic Effects (Weapons Task 2)"

Body should contain a brief idea of the type of item concept the group will be working on based on the task requirements.

    For example:

    1. Effect
These ITEMS should not be just weapons but in fact tools to help you win the race, they could affect speed, items could do things like turn vines alive to grab the feet of another mount or turn the earth below them to quicksand.
    2. Target
(Who does it effect – single opponent, multiple opponents, self, single teammate, multiple teammates?) Yes to all
    3. Side effect?
If the item is beyond your skill it should have some negative side affect for using it.
    4. Character Class
No! anyone should be able to use anything in my opinion.
    5. Balance
If we go with magic items, trinkets like rings bracers and other gear could be used as protection.
    6. Stats
Anyone should be able to use anything but depending on stats the affects last longer, do more damage, and have more power in general.
    7. Small, Medium, Large
? not sure what is meant by this but I assume you mean based on user skill see #6
    8. Rarity
rare items should glow different colors to show rarity, items that do black magic should glow red, yellow, orange or black and items that do white magic should glow white silver green blue... this could also be colored by elementals for instance green glow for items that have the ability to affect nearby plants. The item should glow brighter based on how rare it is.
    9. Cost
I think all items should only be able to be traded with other gamer with the exception of the player store... (no npc's) rare items could cost as much as $100 in the player store.
    10. Level
magic items should get stronger over time and non magic items should get weaker. However magic items have a chance to break based on user skill level.
    11. Modification
I think the players should be able to infuse special magically enhanced gems into items to make custom items chance of failure may result in it breaking.
    12. Demographic Target
I think both male and female players... I would assume most gamers for this game to be 10-40 range with the majority in the 12-30 age range.
    13. Credits
Kiamori, (looking for more that want to build on this idea)

Any feedback to refine this process should be posted below.
